Meet Celeste

Hey, I’m Celeste, the woman behind MorLocss.

Hair care was my thing long before I became a loctician. I’ve been making my own hair and skin care products for almost 10 years now. It started because I became really picky about what I was putting in my hair. I wanted to know what was actually in the products I was using. After doing my own research, I started realizing that many products claiming to be “natural” weren’t always as natural as they seemed. That’s when I decided I needed to know exactly what I was putting into my hair.

In 2024, I became a licensed loctician, which gave me even more knowledge and hands-on experience working with different hair, locs, and scalp needs.

And when I say “I’m a product of my own product,” I mean that. I’ve literally cut my hair, grown it back, cut it again, and grown it back again, all while using my own products. I’ve been using and trusting my own products long before I ever asked anybody else to.

I’ve also sold my products at the Chicago Black Women’s Expo three years in a row. My Rice Water sold out every single year, including my very first year when I only had a tester bottle left to demonstrate with.

What I Put My Name On Matters To Me

MorLocss Rice Water is freshly made in small batches with all-natural ingredients and no preservatives. It goes through a fermentation process that takes months before it ever reaches a bottle.

That patience, care, and intention are why I stand behind what I create. You’re not getting something randomly put together and placed in a cute bottle. You’re getting a product I’ve spent years developing, using, and trusting on my own hair.

I’m not just putting something in a bottle and selling it. I care about what goes into my products because I care about what goes into your hair.
